The Tooth Extraction Process
The very first step in the tooth extraction process is the administering of a local anesthetic to numb the tooth, jawbone, gums and surrounding area. Although you might feel some slight pressure during the procedure, you will remain completely pain-free and comfortable throughout the entire process. It is not uncommon to experience some mild discomfort after the tooth is removed and immediately after the freezing wears off. Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are recommended at this time.
